Bright Green Ecotech work in all areas of energy conservation and carbon reduction.

The following are just some examples:

Water

A running tap uses 6 litres of water a minute, a shower can use anywhere between 9 – 45 litres per minute, a hosepipe uses as much as 1000 litres per hour.

Toilet flushing accounts for 30% of our daily water use – with old toilets using as much as 14 litres per flush compared to new dual flush models which use as little as 2.6 and 4 litres per flush.

One dripping tap can cost you as much as 5000 litres a year – (£50-£100)

Bright Green Ecotech can advise, supply, fit and maintain water saving systems that can reduce your usage of water by up to 50%

Lighting

On average, 25-35% of an organisation’s electricity costs come from lighting. With energy efficient lighting you can cut these costs by up to a 75% while reducing your carbon footprint and improving the working environment for your staff.

Upgrading your bulbs and fittings will save energy. Energy efficient light bulbs are improving constantly and are available in almost all applications. New technologies such as LED lamps, for example, are now available that can replace spot lighting, leading to lower costs and much longer life times.

Lighting a space artificially when daylight is already doing the job is a waste of energy. Light sensors (photocells) can switch off or dim artificial lighting when there is sufficient daylight.

Bright Green Ecotech will explore every available solution to improving your lighting requirements both ecologically and financially.

Photovoltaic (PV) Panels

Solar electricity systems capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic (PV) cells. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run appliances and lighting.

PV cells are panels you can attach to your roof or walls. Each cell is made from one or two layers of semiconducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the layers. The stronger the sunshine, the more electricity is produced.

PV cells come in a variety of shapes and colours, from grey "solar tiles" that look like roof tiles to panels and transparent cells that you can use on conservatories and glass.

PV cells don't need direct sunlight to work - you can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day.

Bright Green Ecotech assessment will provide clear and concise information on how Photovoltaic panels can be of benefit to you.

Food waste disposal

Traditional solutions to food waste disposal are not environmentally or economically sustainable. Working with innovative sustainability specialists Bright Green Ecotech is able to provide systems which allow biodegradable food waste, including Fats, Oils and Greases (FOGs), to be turned into grey water which can be sent straight to the drain.

Unlike the macerator, these products can be used simply and by anyone, using 60 times less water.

The systems need very little maintenance and eliminate the need for food waste storage, disposal and transportation. They aid in carbon reduction and require minimal energy source to run.

Bright Green Ecotech’s will evaluate your food waste situation and in alignment with our policy of providing impartial and client benefit advice, supply commonsense recommendations.
